Privacy & Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 21, 2026
This page explains exactly which cookies this site uses, how consent works, and what data is collected. For the full privacy policy including your rights and data retention, see our Privacy Policy.
Essential Cookies
We set a minimal number of cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function:
sidebar:state— remembers sidebar open/closed preference (7-day expiry, set as a browser cookie).cookieConsent— stores your analytics consent choice ("granted"or"denied"). Stored inlocalStorage, never sent to any server.
These cookies do not track you and contain no personal information.
Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site. GA4 is loaded only after you explicitly click "Allow analytics" in the consent banner. Until then, no Google scripts run and no analytics cookies are set.
We implement Google Consent Mode v2. Both analytics_storage and ad_storage default to "denied" on every page load. They are only updated to "granted" after you opt in.
When active, GA4 may set:
_ga— distinguishes unique visitors (2-year expiry)_ga_*— maintains session state (2-year expiry)
These cookies contain randomly generated identifiers — no names, emails, or personal data.
No Marketing or Advertising Cookies
This site does not use marketing cookies, advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or any form of behavioural profiling. No data is shared with advertisers. No personal data is sold.
How Consent Works on This Site
- A consent banner appears at the bottom of the page on your first visit.
- You can choose "Allow analytics", "Deny", or click "Settings" to review what each category covers.
- If you allow: GA4 is loaded and begins collecting anonymous, aggregated usage data.
- If you deny: no analytics scripts load, no cookies are set, no data is sent to Google.
- Your choice is remembered in your browser's
localStorageand applied on every subsequent visit. - You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the site footer.
What GA4 Collects (When You Consent)
- Pages visited and time on page
- Referral source (search engine, direct link, social media)
- Device type, browser, and operating system
- Approximate location (country/city, from anonymised IP)
- Session count and engagement metrics
GA4 does not collect names, email addresses, or directly identifiable personal data through our implementation.
Managing Your Preferences
Click "Cookie Settings" in the footer at any time to review or change your consent. You can also clear your browser's cookies and local storage to reset all preferences.
To opt out of Google Analytics on all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
